Cooking Directions:
Preparing honey iced tea is a delicious and healthy alternative to regular sugar based iced teas. To prepare this simple recipe, take out your tea kettle, and boil enough spring water to yield one finished cup. Once you water has reach a boil, pour it into a tea pot, or a large tea cup. While the water is still scalding hot, add in the Metropolitan Delicious Honey Tea. You may need to use two to three tea bags, as this one cup will be the whole flavor base of your iced tea batch. Let your tea steep for seven minutes, and when you have a dark rich mixture, strain it into a glass iced tea pitcher. Do try and filter out any loose tea particles, as they tend to have a bitter taste when ingested. Next pour in six to seven cups of room temperature spring water, as well as your quarter cup of organic honey. Next take out a mixing spoon, and stir the iced tea until the honey has completely dissolved, and your tea has a smooth even color. Next do a quick taste test, to make sure you have added enough honey for your particular preference, regulate if necessary. From here you will want to slide your iced tea pitcher into the refrigerator, and let it chill for about two hours. You'll notice this chilling process will help bring out more of those honey notes in the iced tea flavor. Once the iced tea has chilled, serve it in tall glasses poured over ice cubes, and garnish each glass with an optional mint leaf. We hope you enjoyed this recipe.
