Preparing Sun Tea safely is very simple. First take out your tea kettle, and boil enough water to yield seven cups of water. When making sun tea, you always want boil the water first, since it will be sitting out in the sun. Bring the water to a full rolling boil for about a minute, and then let the water cool down. Next take out a very sterile sun tea pitcher, and once the water is cool, pour it all into the pitcher. Next add in the four regular Lipton tea bags. You want to use caffeinated tea only with sun tea, as it will prohibit any form of bacteria from growing in it while it's outside. Next place the pitcher out in the sun, and let is sit for no longer than four hours. Because sun tea sits outside, we recommend that you prepare only what you can drink that day, and that you discard any excess you have leftover afterwards. Serve in a tall tea glass poured over ice. Add sugar per glass, and stir in until the granulates completely dissolve. We hope you enjoy this sun tea recipe, please do check out all of our other many iced tea recipes.
