I really have a sweet tooth, so sometimes I like my iced tea to be really sweet. To prepare this sweet iced tea recipe, you will first need to take out a tea kettle. I use a Classicor brand whistling tea kettle, and highly recommend it. You will want to boil enough water to yield one full cup. Once your water is at a rolling boil, pour it into a tea pot, and then add in the sweet fruit garden herbal tea. You might want to add several bags of tea, as you want this cup as strong as possible, as it is the flavor base for your whole iced tea batch. Let the tea steep for five minutes, so all those wonderful herbal flavors have time to be released into the hot water. Once your tea is done, strain it into a glass pitcher. Be sure that loose tea doesn't end up in the pitcher. Next add in about six cups of spring water, the pineapple juice, pure cane sugar, and the fresh squeezed strained lime juice. Be sure to strain the lime juice, as you don't want any lime pulp in your tea. Finally take out a long wooden spoon, and mix the iced tea batch well, and until all of the sugar has completely dissolved. Do a quick taste test, regulate if the sweetness if needed, and then slide the pitcher into the refrigerator to chill for two full hours. Once your iced tea has chilled, serve it in tall glasses poured over ice cubes. Garnish with Maraschino cherries. We hope you enjoyed this recipe.
